I finished up this zendala today. (It looks more like a compass rose).

In case you were wondering how these things end up symmetrical, it's definitely not my insanely good eye! I have a little help. About a year ago, I found a Zentangle CZT in Canada who sells point-plotting templates for designing mandalas. They are called Genevieve's Mandala Stencils and you can order them at Amaryllis Creations. They come as a set of three. I just make a light pencil dot in each hole. When I'm done I have a perfectly measured set of points to design my mandala around. Such a simple idea that is crazy fun to work with.
I also keep a loose leaf binder of Zentangle patterns. It's not unusual for me to forget how to draw a pattern, and I definitely can't do them all from memory! The sheets I draw the patterns on are available for free download at Linda Farmer's blog, Tangle Patterns. You will also find all of the patterns there and links to the instructions.
That's all for today. I hope your week is going well. It won't be long before Thanksgiving is upon us!
Until next time,
