Hi everyone! I'm sending out wishes for a very Happy Pink Saturday to you. I don't know about you, but I've had a very busy week. It's been lots of fun though. I finished two new painted pieces for my Etsy shop. I know I've been talking about it for awhile, but I promise, it's coming! I haven't decided whether I should delay opening until after the family camping trip (week of 8-15) or go for it this Monday. I hate to have it open for two weeks and then have to shut it down for a week. What do you think? While you're thinking about it, let's get right to the pink.

Okay, now let's get real. I've got about as much chance of getting breakfast in bed as I do of fitting into a size 6. But where would I be if I couldn't dream? Besides, I've got to find some way to use the mountains of stuff I collect! Now, I don't make a habit of drinking my morning juice out of pink stemware, but it could happen. I found three of these glasses at a yard sale. How could I pass them up? They're pink! The crystal mugs were another great yard sale find, and they're beautifully etched. An antique bed tray, antique linens and Grandma Gallagher's antique silver and I'm ready. Will someone summon the maid?

Roses really are a masterpiece of creation, aren't they? Just the sight of them takes my breath away. These beauties are from my garden.

Now that we've had our walk in the garden, let's go inside where it's cool and have a glass of pink lemonade. Shall we use the pink stemware? I have two new painted items to show you.

I found this little metal bowl at a yard sale. It was so dull looking, but it had an interesting shape. It would be wonderful for some potpourri or to hold some hairpins in the bathroom.

I rescued this lovely metal tray at the antique store. It needed some help, but now it's a gem.

In an earlier post, I had shared one of my favorite stops along the antique trail, Treasure Hill. On Thursday, I made the find of the century (at least I think so!) Laying under a table, was an old volume on wildflowers. When I picked it up, I didn't expect much, but was I surprised. This 1 1/2 inch thick volume was completely filled with botanical paintings of every known wildflower in the US. The pages are wonderfully heavy and delightfully browned with age.
This is one of my original apron designs, "Collete". It is being modeled by my assistant, Antoinette, the French parlor maid. Say "Bon Jour," Antoinette!
Finally, my sweet baby girl, my angel puppy, showing off her cute little pink tongue, Molly.

I hope you have as much fun visiting me as I've had coming to you. Being an artist is kind of a solitary existence, but it makes me so happy to be able to share my life and what I do with you. I hope you'll come back soon. I love seeing what you're all up to. It's wonderful how much we have in common. May God shelter you and give you His peace. Until next time!
