Since we will be on semester break this week, I finally had the opportunity to work in my art journal. I love this quote, because it is a reminder that everyone has something to offer, no matter who they are, or what they have been through.
Quote: The lonliest (oops - I spelled loneliest incorrectly! Oh well, it's there for posterity.) people are the kindest. The saddest people smile the brightest. The most damaged people are the wisest. All because they do not wish to see anyone else suffer the way they do. -from www.livelifehappy.com
I painted the dampened page with Golden Fluid Acrylics in quinacridone red and cobalt blue. I used a Crafter's Workshop stencil for the butterflies. I rubbed pastel over the stencil and then sprayed it with matte spray to prevent smearing. The doodles are black pigma micron pen and white gellyroll pen. I punched scalloped circles out of an antique French dictionary page and adhered them with matte medium. I added lavender lace paper with more matte medium. I cut out wavy strips of decorative paper (freebies from Somerset Studio Magazine) and adhered them with gel medium. The lettering is black pigma micron pen and gelly roll moonlight pens.
I'm thinking of all of you and wishing you peace. See you again soon!
Until next time,
