Hello everyone! I hope you are all well. I traveled into Philadelphia today to drop off my paintings to the jury committee for the student show. I should know by tomorrow afternoon if they've been accepted. After I was done checking them in, I finally had some time to see the current exhibit, The Female Gaze, in Gallery 128 at the school. It is an extensive collection of the art work of women spanning decades. Most of the women have been students, teachers, or both at PAFA over the years. Before I share some of their work with you, I have a few photos of the courtyard of the school.
Only an artist could do this to an airplane.
This is the outside of the Historic Landmark Building. It has been standing for more than two centuries.
Aren't the brick patterns incredible?
If you have trouble locating the school on Broad Street, just look for the giant paintbrush and the blob of orange paint. Any questions?
I photographed a few of the art works in the exhibit.
