Hello, my friends! I have a new abstract painting to share with you. I've been working on this one all week, and happily, my teacher approved. At the suggestion of my son, I've opted not to title it. I would like the viewer to draw his or her own conclusions.
Untitled
24" x 36"
Acrylic and Collage on Canvas
I'll probably present this one to the jury, along with my previous painting for the student show. I had a little fun this week, doing some research on PAFA's more notable alumni. I was humbled to learn of the amazing artists who walked these corridors and occupied these studios before me. It's hard to imagine the likes of Thomas Eakins, Mary Cassat, or Maxfield Parrish putting paint to canvas here, with their teachers at their sides, coaching, suggesting, propelling them toward their destiny.
Right now, my destiny is to get back to work :) I'll be linking to Paint Party Friday. Stop by and see all of the wonderful work that has been created this week. Just click on the icon in my right sidebar. Thank you so much for visiting!
Until next time,

Love the color combinations on this one, and the black lines contribute to the movement of the painting...lovely!

Oooh...I love this. I am trying to paint more intuitively these days and sometimes it is a bit of a struggle. I love abstract works and would love to be freer to create them myself. Your work is lovely, Terri.

Oh, I love the colors in this one! Not giving a title ... that's brave. One of the things I like most when I finish a painting is searching for a suitable title. I would hate to skip that step ;-)

I love the colours and energy in this... though I must say i would be tempted to give it some weird title just to see if people make things up to fit... but you are better behaved than me...
and thanks for your comments on my blog... you are so right about the password thing... it has been driving me nuts all week...xx
