While I was waiting for the modeling paste to dry on another painting, I worked in my art journal today.
The background was painted first in watercolor. I cut the collage elements from the huge pile of travel brochures I amassed last summer. I unified the elements with acrylic glazes and used a Pigma Micron black pen for the quote. I added linework and enhancement to the lettering with Sakura Souffle gel pens.

I also have two new art journal backgrounds that you can download free for your personal use.
I missed kick-off on Sunday so I could get out to B&N and snag the Autumn issue of Somerset Studio's Art Journaling magazine. I'm glad I went - the Eagles lost anyway :(
It's just about dinner time, so I'll close for now. Have a wonderful evening!
Until next time,
