Hi everyone! I'm writing to you from Onawa, Iowa. Iowa is one huge, continuous farm field on rolling hills! When we got close to the campground, we saw a sign to tune to a radio station for disaster information. "DISASTER?" Sure enough, we turned on the radio in time to hear information about which roads were closed dued to the flooding. Apparently, unusually heavy snows in the mountains resulted in the water level rising in the Missouri River. As the snow melts, the ground water rises to the level of the river. There were farm fields flooded everywhere in western Iowa. Fortunately, the campground is above the flood table, but many areas all around us are affected.
The camp site is beautiful. We are on a lake across from Lewis and Clark State Park.

HOME SWEET HOME AWAY FROM HOME
We're going to take it on faith that the weather report is correct. We're not supposed to have rain tonight. We didn't put up the rain hood.
This is a late afternoon view of the lake. I'm not sure about the quality of these photos, because I'm not using Photoshop. Let me know what you think.
There is a beautiful arbor in the campground with my favorite variety of clematis.
It's getting late, so I'll have to say goodbye for now. Tomorrow, I'll be posting from Badlands National Park.
Until next time,
Terri
