If you love working with fabric, or if you're just in need of a dose of color to ward off the winter doldrums, you've come to the right place. My sister Lorrie and I went off on another one of our fabric hunting adventures this week, and we were not disappointed. Come along with us to a popular quilter's destination in Lancaster County, PA: The Old Country Store. It's located in the lovely town of Intercourse (yep, you read that right). Here, you will find a dazzling array of locally-made items and more importantly, FABRIC!
The window display is beautiful.
The pantry is stocked to the brim with all kinds of tempting treats.
I want to take home that stove!
There's also a huge selection of hand made and hand painted game boards.
If homemade soaps and essential oils are to your liking, you can find them here. I think I'll take that sink to go with the stove.
There's a wonderful selection of Pennsylvania pottery.
And now, for my favorite part: the fabric!
Fat quarters are like candy-you can never get enough!
Psst! Don't tell Lorrie she's in the photo.
You can shop by color or by collection.
If you need inspiration, there's an endless supply of books.
Then, there's an inexhaustable supply of fabric by the bolt.
Not into sewing, but love quilts? Take a stroll through the magnificent gallery of hand made quilts for sale.
There's a big enough selection to satisfy anyone's taste!
We walked across the street to Kitchen Kettle Village in search of food. There's a beautiful quilt gallery there, and on the back of the building is a delightful surprise.
I hope you had as much fun as we did. Our fabric stash certainly grew!
Have a wonderful day and God bless you.
Until next time,
